Volunteer Opportunities

Kitten Krazy is very excited to be in our new space with Quick Fix
Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic!  We have many opportunities for
volunteers to help us with our mission.  Just 1 or 2 hours per week
to clean and organize would be a huge help. Of course, staying after
your shift to pet kitties is always the best perk :) Our volunteers
range from 5 years old (accompanied by parent) to senior citizens.

There are many ways to help and everyone is appreciated.

Fostering Opportunities

Fostering is a fun adventure for you and your whole family! 
When you foster cats and kittens for Kitten Krazy, you will receive
the benefit of learning about and raising  kittens and cats.  You will
receive all food, litter and medical care at no expense to you.  Our
Foster Coordinator, Dawn Fischer, has a vast knowledge of kittens
and their specific needs.  She will be your contact and can answer
any questions you may have while fostering for us.

Volunteer Instructions

Please download and email your completed Volunteer Application and Hold Harmless Agreement to our Volunteer Orientation Trainer at tiffanym@kittenkrazy.org or drop it off at Kitten Krazy during business hours.  Tiffany will contact you with an upcoming orientation schedule.  They are typically held two times per month; one on a Thursday evening and the other on a Sunday afternoon.  The orientation is designed to familiarize you with our facility layout, explanation of Kitten Krazy and Quick Fix Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic which are housed together, and our cleaning protocols.  You do not need to volunteer as a cleaner, but we ask that you still attend orientation.

Once you have completed orientation, your information will be shared with Wendy Mirrotto, the Executive Director, who will place you on a volunteer email distribution list.  You will immediately start receiving Kitten Krazy emails to help you stay informed on our activities.

Your information will also be given to our Volunteer Coordinator, Lisa Teuscher, who will add you to her email distribution list and be your ongoing contact person for any questions, concerns and scheduling.  It is our goal to place you with a mentor the first three times you volunteer to help with any questions you may have and to ensure our cleaning protocols are being followed (they are very important for the safety and health of our cats, staff and other volunteers).

If your desire is to help with fundraising, administration, crafts, or any of the other ways we list on our application, we will contact you after orientation to get you started in those areas.
