Important Health Notice at Kitten Krazy

Posted on January 9, 2026

In keeping with our stand of being transparent with our community and only out of an abundance of caution we are announcing that one of our shelter cats tested positive for a very infectious virus. Therefore, we are implementing a full shelter quarantine for the next 14 days. We are glad to announce that no other cats are showing signs of being infected at this time.

What this means

  • The shelter will be closed to adoptions, intakes, and visits during the quarantine period

  • All exposed cats are being closely monitored, and enhanced cleaning and biosecurity protocols are in place

  • Our staff and veterinary partners are taking every step to prevent further spread and protect the health of our animals

While this is never easy, it is the safest and most responsible course of action. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we work through this. We will continue to provide updates and will announce when the quarantine is lifted and normal operations resume.

Thank you for standing with us and for caring so deeply about the animals we serve.
